Toyota Motors Philippines recently created something special for its fans to commemorate its 20th year of doing business in the Philippines: the Toyota Vios XX Limited Edition, and what better venue to launch it from than the 2nd Philippine International Motor Show?
From the looks of it, this car is simply your garden-variety 1.5 G Vios variant re-badged as a 1.5 G XX and fitted with 17″ alloy wheels, replacing the 15″ stock rims, and 205/45 R17 tires in place of the 185/60 R15H skinny legs. What else? HID [High-intensity discharge - Ed.] headlamps and a rear spoiler are also included. Dealer options include a front, rear, and side skirts.
Oh yes, before I forget: this car also comes with a 2DIN integrated-type car stereo with six speakers, complete with iPod connectivity, how about that? The interior of the model on display looks the same as any other 1.5 G Vios.
Aside from the Super Red V model pictured above, the Toyota Vios XX Limited Edition is also available in the following colors: Medium Silver Metallic and Greyish Blue Metallic.
As for price, the Toyota Vios XX Limited Edition isn’t all that expensive compared to its stock bretheren. The 1.5 G XX with manual transmission costs PHP 750,000 while the 1.5 G XX with an automatic gearbox costs PHP 785,000. Hurry, TMPI will only produce 800 of these special babies.
According to literature supplied by Toyota Motors Philippines, the fuel consumption of a 1.3-liter Vios with manual transmission is 23.11 kilometers per liter, while that of a 1.5-liter Vios with the same gearbox is 21.58 kilometers per liter. A 1.5-liter Vios with automatic transmission comes in at 20.13 kilometers per liter. The test vehicles traveled a total of 1,020 km. at an average speed of 58.21 kilometers per hour.
In real life, what is the fuel consumption of your Vios? Comment away.
