One of the benefits of owning a satellite TV receiver and a C-band satellite dish is getting to watch TV channels unavailable on terrestrial cable and free-to-air networks. An example is Al Jazeera TV in English; as far as I know, none of the major cable TV networks in Metro Manila and elsewhere carry its programming.

Here is an Al Jazeera clip about how the Thai government is fighting an incipient Muslim-led rebellion in its southern provinces.

I used the FLV Embed plugin to add this FLV video to this blog, playing on Jeroen’s FLV player, and I will be converting most of the other videos previously posted here in WMV format to FLV with Super soon.
